Content Archival Policy
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has established a comprehensive Content Archival Policy to effectively manage the lifecycle of digital content on its website. This policy ensures that the website remains up-to-date, accurate, and user-friendly.
Content Creation and Metadata
Metadata Inclusion: Every piece of content published on the PFRDA website is accompanied by metadata. This metadata includes essential details such as the source of the content, the date it was created, and its validity period.
Permanent Content: Some content is deemed permanent and is subject to review every ten years. This review process ensures that even long-standing content remains relevant and accurate. If necessary, this content can be modified or removed based on current needs.
Short-Lived Content
Certain types of content have a predefined, limited lifespan. These include:
Tenders: Announcements and details about tenders are removed from the website once the tender process is complete.
Recruitment Notices: Job postings and recruitment-related information are taken down after the recruitment process concludes.
Regular Content Review and Archival
Periodic Review: Content such as documents, reports, and news updates undergo regular reviews as per the Content Review Policy. This ensures that all information remains current and relevant.
Two-Week Review Period: A review period of two weeks is observed before the expiration date of any content. During this period:
- Content is either revalidated and its validity extended, or
- It is archived and removed from the website if it is no longer relevant.
Archival Process: Archiving outdated content prevents the dissemination of obsolete information, maintaining the website's integrity.
Policy Implementation
Strict Enforcement: The Content Archival Policy is rigorously enforced to uphold the integrity, accuracy, and usability of the PFRDA website. This ensures that users always have access to reliable and up-to-date information.
